FENG SHUI and MANCHESTER CITY FOOTBALL CLUB

I just had to comment on the recent happenings at the Manchester City Football Club because my dad is a "Manc" born and bred and a huge Man City supporter. This put a smile on my face when I read this report not only because I believe in the positivity of Feng Shui but also at my minds picture of some of the Man City fans, Dad included, spitting out thier breakfast over thier copy of the national papers sports page!

"Manchester City is turning to Feng Shui to improve their chances this season. Crystals have been buried under the pitch in a bid to boost players performance and energy. There is a reason behind the madness. The owner of Manchester City is Thai billionaire Thaksin Shinawatra, who believes that Feng Shui will significantly improve the club’s chance. But it does not stop at the crystals beneath the pitch. There are also lucky Buddhas, lucky toads and fortune trees dotted around the club’s offices, shop and around the stadium."

The article finishes with the doubtful reporter saying well lets see how the season goes and I can't wait because there will be some humble pie eaten when they start to do better than they have done in some time!...... think positive thoughts etc....

"C'mon yooo bloooes!" as my dad would say!

UPDATE: The Thai owner has now sold the club ( I know I'm a little late but I'm not really up on my football news!) anyway it seems that he made a very substantial amount of money on the sale of the club and under the current economic climate it was a very good profit to say the  least. I haven't heard if the new owners have dug up the buried crystals so lets hope they are still firmly under the turf  giving the players divine intervention and good results by the end of the football season spring 2009.

BODY FENG SHUI

I have been asked a few time recently by very confused people about Body Feng Shui what it is?, is it a new fad out of California?, what?

Body Feng Shui a not a new concept it is used in Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Herbal Remedies Yoga and Tai Ch'i for centuries. An old Chinese proverb states that Feng Shui consultants double as doctors, that I wouldn't advocate, however, the art of Feng Shui has a wealth of recommendations, cures, solutions for every person and virtually every space. Your body has a specific anatomy, the space you inhabit also has its own anatomy, with its own “do’s” and “don’ts.” Body Feng Shui refers exclusively to the external characteristics of the human body but its goals are the same as Feng Shui. In comparing the two, one will find that the body resembles the house (exterior) and the characteristics resemble the furnishings (interior). If the internal appearances of the house can be improved by certain techniques, the same applies to the body.f you suffer from certain body ailments, you can choose to place certain cures in certain areas of your home office or garden that relate to that ailment.

How many of us wake up in the morning feeling refreshed, happy and full get up and go? How
many of us, by lunch time at work, still feel full of energy? Why do certain places lift our spirits, while others drain us? We seem to have forgotten how deeply connected we are with the space we live in and how important is for our well being to live in a balanced environment. Being aware of this deep connection and its influence on all aspects of your life, it would be wise to employ Feng Shui knowledge in your home (and business!) to improve your health, vitality, and general well-being.

There is another favourite Chinese saying of mine: "If you want change in your life, move 27 things in your house". The point being - plant your new self in your environment by changing it to fit who you are now and who you would like to be.

The principle of Feng Shui is that we should live in harmony with our environment. By understanding how the energy surrounding us affects all everyday life we can ensure that the Chi works for us and not against us.

Here are some Feng Shui remedies to improve your Health and increase Vitality

Circulate the air in your home as often as possible, once a day is best, use an air ionizer if possible. Have specific plants that purify the air, such as peace lily, fern, spider plant, etc. the colour green is very healing.

Keep the centre of your home clutter free. This is the Heart of the Home. No heavy objects should be placed here. Place a water fountain, some crystals, bells/chimes or pictures of your loved ones.

Work on reducing the electromagnetic fields in your bedroom by removing metal objects and electrical items. Give your body a haven to regenerate and heal itself during sleep. Do not sleep under beams. Do not sleep with your feet facing out of the bedroom door.

Have a pleasing welcoming entrance. It should be well lit, spacious clear and have great energy.

By following these simple, basic Feng Shui recommendations you can greatly improve your sense of well being. You can bring healing beauty and harmony into your life and your loved ones.

I am running Feng Shui Workshops in Alacalali during the Autumn months give me a call and book your space and open up to the ancient Chinese philosophy and learn the law of attraction from your exterior to your interior.

Feng Shui Costa Blanca Cosmic Chi

We have visited this area of Spain for 8 years now and the one thing that stood out the most on my very first visit was the breathtaking sights of the magnificent mountains here on the Northern Costa Blanca. Four years ago I set about house hunting with my husband, unable to take my Feng Shui head off and leave it behind in the office, much to his frustration. There are so many positive Feng Shui points about this area but there are some fundamental negative ones also.

Feng Shui is all about balancing the earth energies around us and the Mountains are fantastic for this, they give us grounding and protection, they slow down and direct the rushing Ch'i racing in from the fast and furious Atlantic Ocean and the much slower energy from Mediterranean sea into a meandering easy flow which is why I feel there is a great energy in this area in particular the inland mountain villages. History will tell us how the inland mountain villages here were one of the last strong holds in many battles of Spain. We both agreed on a mountain village nestled in a valley with protection from mountains on 3 sides to live in, but which house!.

Some houses have a big negative factor I found and they are those wonderful wooden beams in the ceilings, these may cause restlessness, headaches and possible oppressed feelings due to the impression of something close overhead bearing down on you, the houses with these in for structural reasons are less negative than newer ones that have had them placed for ornamental reasons as they serve a purpose other than for decoration. Needles to say Old town houses had to be scratched off my list reluctantly in this almost perfect Feng Shui village I had found.

One problem we do not have much of here in my village are these dreadful and abundant overhead power or telephone cables you see everywhere, both a necessity for modern living but a facility sadly lacking in the inland areas, however as frustrating as it is for some, no phone or power cables slicing up your roads, land and villages makes for a much more positive Feng Shui area than those who do have them, we didn't have this problem so much back in Ole Blighty but we didn't have these mountains either!

To my husbands relief we found the right house, protected by the mountains on all three sides to give the effect my house was sat in an armchair, no power and telephone cables slicing up my garden or going over my roof top and no beams on my ceilings , this was a great achievement considering but my husbands relief was short lived as all that was left now was to hand over his hard earned cash!

If you would like to know more about Feng Shui and the cures you can implement to offset the negative and make the most of the positive earth energy around you, from a qualified practising Feng Shui Consultant. We are running a 1 day workshop in the Jalon Valley on the 19th July, you can visit my website www.janeburton.com and check out the workshop page or call me on 96 648 2636 to book or for more info.

FENG SHUI YOUR CAR

Feng Shui principles can be applied to almost anything even your car. Using the Feng Shui Black Hat form.

You can also use Feng Shui to determine what gender your car is, the location of the petrol indicates this. If it is on the left hand side of the car as you are looking at it from the front of the car it is masculine and if its on the right its feminine, this should help a great deal for those who name their cars, you can now pick the right gendered name for you car with confidence!. Ok back to the important part.

Firstly we need to establish the 'front door' or the mouth of chi, the source of energy. The engine is this area that we are looking for: assuming that the engine is in the front this area corresponds with your career.

The front right hand side (passenger side) left-hand drive car relates to helpful people.
The front left hand side (driver) left-hand drive car relates to knowledge.
The rear passenger right side relates to children.
The rear left side relates to ancestors.
The far right of the car relates to wealth.
The far right of the car relates to relationships.
And the centre of the car relates to health.

These areas represent different aspects of your life, so if you want to manifest something just place an object or Feng Shui cure that symbolises your desire in the relevant area.

The centre of your car should always be clutter free and kept clean as this relates to your health. To encourage good chi to flow freely round the car it might be a good place to position an air freshener here.

Where ever scratches or dents occur on your car it will indicate the sensitive area in your life, for example if you have a dent in your bonnet then you are having problems or will soon encounter problems within your career. Get it fixed as soon as possible.

Cushions in cars are a bit 1980's but they are positive Feng Shui for keeping happy and calm passengers. Cushions are associated with protection and comfort. Notice when watching a scary movie how much more bearable it is to watch holding a cushion near to your face or is that just me?!
Soothing music or talking books are also positive for regulating positive calm chi, it is said that it's a common fact that we tend to drive in time to the music that we are listening to.

A Mayan ball should be hung from the rear view mirror ( making sure that it is not obscuring your vision in any way, this is very important) for protection against accidents theft and general negative energy. They should be hung securely with a red ribbon as red is the colour of healthy blood and gives life to this cure. If the Mayan ball detaches itself from the ribbon then it is said that you have just been saved from negative energy the ball has absorbed it and diverted it away from you. Make sure you re attach the ball and place it back in the right position.

If you make frequent trips back to the UK and in particular driving the length and breadth of both Spain and France before reaching the UK then I would also recommend a Jade amulet to help protect you on your long journey away from home. I would place this in the helpful friends area of the car to gain the most from its protective qualities.

Depending on the year you were born into, some colours are better than others this can also be applied to your car. The chart below show you your best colours and your worst colours. Remember that this is using the Chinese calendar February is the beginning of the year as this is when they celebrate their New Year. For example if you were born in January 1960 then you must use the year 1959 to work out your best and worst colour

If you were born in:
1918,1927,36,45,54,63,72,81
1919,1928,37,46,55,64,73,82
1920,1929,38,47,56,65,74,83
1921,1930,39,48,57,66,75,84
1922,1931,40,49,58,67,76,85
1923,1932,41,50,59,68,77,86
1924,1933,42,51,60,69,78,87
1925,1934,43,52,61,70,79,88
1926,1935,44,53,62,71,80,89
Best Colour:

Don't panic if your car is not your best colour you can simply introduce some items of your best colour into your car its that easy!

FENG SHUI for the GARDEN

Here are a few feng shui tips to help balance and create that perfect element for positive chi to thrive in your garden. Whether you are planning some major landscaping or if your garden just needs a little bit of TLC.
Now that the summer months have passed and the searing heat is subsiding our minds are on our gardens, but before you pick up that trowel here are a few feng shui tips to help balance and create that perfect element for positive chi to thrive in your garden. whether you are planning some major landscaping or if your garden just needs a little bit of TLC, I am sure you will find some aspect of feng shui to add to your oasis.

A positive and effective way of directing good chi, cosmic energy. into our home environment is to introduce auspicious feng shui features into the garden. By introducing and balancing light, sound, movement, scents, colour and life into the outside living space you can enhance the earth energies that will in time bring you good fortune.

Firstly you need to find out which compass direction your garden is facing, a good way is to remember where the sun sets ( most people will know this, due to lazy summer evenings in the garden recently) The sun always sets in the West, you can work out the other points of the compass from this start. Another factor for most of us in the Costa Blanca is the formation of the mountains around us, mountains are very auspicious in feng Shui, if your home is surrounded by hills or mountains then you and your family will be rich ( not just materialistic riches) for generations so the belief goes.

Standing at your front door looking out , if there are buildings or hills/mountain higher on your right than the area to your left then this is negative, A simple cure is to place a bright light ( a security light will do) high up on the left side of your door.

Feng Shui does not advocate straight lines in nearly all its application, therefore your pathway leading up to the front door should form a meandering curved route, if its angular or straight then plants or ornaments can be placed around the path to soften the access to your doorway.

Two solid heavy objects, either large plant pots or statues of any kind placed either side of the front door will bring stability, success and longevity to the occupants of the household. If you place plants here they must not be sharp or prickly and at all times must be well cared for. If they die then remove them immediately.

Trees in pots are considered to be unnatural and therefore unlucky so get them in the ground. stepping stones in your garden should be used in odds numbers preferably 5, 7, and 9 of them. In Japanese gardens, the second stepping stone is often allowed to wobble slightly to remind people and make them aware of the closeness of death!

Garden furniture should be made of natural materials ie. wood metal, not plastic. this also applies to pots and ornaments too.

In the south east section of your garden is a good area for a water feature of any kind, blue flowers are also positive here. Evergreens and leafy shrubs along with fish or frog ornaments are well placed here to enhance the chi in this area.

In the southern section of your garden plant fuchsias or any other type of red, orange, yellow and bright fiery coloured plants. Lighting is important in this area too. Try to place lanterns here as they illuminate this area and stimulate public recognition.

In the south west section of your garden red again along with pink flowers are well placed here, this is the area that stimulates love relationships. if you are placing any kind of ornaments here make sure that they are in pairs to symbolise unity.

In the west section of your garden white fragrant flowers of the climbing variety are the best kind to plant here. The west has a very strong and erratic chi which can be disruptive, the best way to appease this chi here is with delicate scented flowers like jasmine. Any ornaments placed here should be of the metal variety and with smooth curves and rounded shapes. Metal wind chimes are also well placed here. The same principles apply with the North west section too.

The north section of your garden should feature a water feature of some kind, but you must make sure that the water never stagnates it must be flowing and clean. The north influence your career and finances and water is one of the best enhancements for this area in your life. Bird baths are excellent as they encourage wildlife into the garden which is considered very positive. grasses are best planted in this section.

The north east section of your garden influences study and contemplation so a quiet comfortable chair or hammock is well placed here. This should be the calm haven in your garden to enjoy reading or just a quiet think. Herbs and alpine should be planted in this section. Terracotta pots and also a Barbecue are best placed here.

The eastern section of your garden influences your family health and longevity the colours here should be greens. Some of the best plants are grasses pines and bamboos. Yellow flowering plants like chrysanthemums are also very good in this position along with fruit shrubs or trees.

The centre should be kept clear. In western gardens we tend to cram them full with everything, Chinese and Japanese believe that less is more as opposed to our way of thinking more and more and more please!! Nothing should dominate the garden , no one thing should overwhelm you as you enter it. Balance and harmony are so important in creating good Feng Shui. The garden should gently flow at a slow meandering pace so you can savour all your hard work and take in your creativity, why else would you pick up the garden tools in the first place.

AMULETS and CURES
For the past year I have written about Feng Shui its meaning and origin along with how to enhance your home, office and garden and even your car to try to creative more harmony in our lives by balancing the cosmic chi around us. Now this month I am focusing upon the basic cures, how they are to be used and what they will achieve in their correct positions.
Buddha's are well known to be symbol's of happiness, wealth, kindness and innocent contented joy. Buddha also teaches you to be content with what you have in order to find enlightenment. It is believed that by rubbing his tummy each day, which is said to contain much wealth, will bring good luck and prosperity. Buddha ornaments should never be placed on the floor as this is a sign of disrespect. However you can place Buddha in any area of your home/office or garden .Treat him with respect and he will reward you handsomely.

Crystals fill a home with positive energy they add light and colour to any room in your Home or Office. They can be used all around the house to deflect negative energies and to enhance the positive ones, they are especially useful when hung in a window to encourage positive chi' as they fill your room with a rainbow prism. Hang a crystal in an area that is dark and slow to energise this area. You can also hang a crystal over your desk in an office environment to help energise your career. Never place your crystal in the North sector of your chosen area.

Amethyst and Rose Quartz clusters
Rose Quartz Crystals are well known as the Stone of Romance. To enhance the romance in your life place a pair of Rose Quartz clusters by your bed or in the relationship sector of your room.
The Amethyst Quartz Crystals are believed to have great healing properties to bring great strength, peace of mind and contentment this can be placed anywhere that you feel needs to benefit from its properties.

One of the eight remedies used in Feng Shui. Bamboo constitutes a perfect vehicle for Chi', to glide smoothly through an area that has Sha Chi (or inhibits the flow of Chi'.) Hung from a red ribbon whilst making sure the mouth pieces are at the bottom to symbolize positive flow of healthy Chi' . They are best hung in pairs. Feng Shui Flutes are excellent cures for redirecting Chi' especially caused by over head beams which are in abundance here in Spain. Bamboo is at its most positive hung in the East sector of your room to promote good health and longevity.

A bottle of gold is ideal to encourage wealth into your home. It's better than using the soil dug from a rich persons garden. The bottle is filled with real gold flakes. Display it in your Wealth area and keep one in your handbag and your Wealth Vase for your money luck. A bottle of gold makes the ideal gift to give to someone starting a new business venture or new job.

Ancient Chinese coins have been used for centuries as amulets. In Feng Shui coins represent the element metal and symbolise wealth. These 3 coins tied with red thread should be placed in the wealth sector on your accounts books, a cash register, in a purse or your wallet to attract wealth. Different coloured ribbons are used for enhancing particular sectors of your life.

Golden Wealth Toad or The Feng Shui Three Legged Money Toad will encourage wealth into your life. To activate the toad place him within view of your front door. Every morning place the I Ching Coin in his mouth to signify that he will always deliver prosperity to you. Remove the coin and turn him towards the inwards in the evening to prevent him from becoming exhausted. To activate the full Feng Shui Money Toad Cure place nine Money Toads in your lounge all facing a different compass direction and one facing you main door to invite money in.

The Mayan Ball is great for protecting you against negative energy. If you teach or have to attend a difficult meeting or if a person has decided not to like to you, by wearing a Mayan ball as a pendant near to your heart could help to deflect negative energies and calm a situation down. Hang the Mayan ball on the reversing mirror of your car, van, or lorry. The Mayan ball will help protect you from accidents, car thieves and all negative energies. It should always be hung by a red ribbon as the red is a symbol of the blood/life force within us.

The Precious Gourd is an ancient Chinese symbol of Longevity, and Protection from negative evil energies and is used to turn bad health into good health. The Precious Gourd is also the emblem for the figure 8, which holds a lot of power in Feng Shui and Chinese Symbolism. The Precious Gourd is linked closely to the Eight Immortals of Chinese history, specifically Li T`ieh-kuai, who has the appearance of a beggar, and was a master magician. The Precious Gourd is a wonderful talisman to take with you on a journey for protection. The best place to hang the Precious Gourd is from your door entrance, windows, at the side of your bed, or inside your car.

TOP TEN TIPS FOR WEALTH

Firstly the most important first step to achieving good Feng Shui is to perform a Space Clearing or de cluttering process. Everyone's Home or Office has accumulated stagnant negative energy, that needs to be eliminated. Clutter is a sign of that stagnant energy, and clutter in your money power spot can clog up your cash flow. This de cluttering process will make all other cures more effective. You know what they say " a tidy campsite is a happy campsite" Today its your home or office we are targeting, using my top ten tips to enhance your wealth
1) The southeast corner of your home and/or office is your wealth sector so it must be kept as clean and tidy. The lighting should resemble natural light, not too bright or too dim

2). Fix things that are broken. Anything that doesn't work as it should is a sign of something wrong in the area of your life that corresponds to that part of your space.

3) A Fish tank is a excellent in the wealth area. Nine gold fish are an auspicious number. Eight gold and one black are recommended.

3) Enhance your wealth area with symbols of prosperity, such as a bowl of coins, gold ingots, a Buddha sitting on a pile of gold coins and fish symbols are all popular Feng Shui symbols for wealth.

4) If you neglect your money, it will neglect you, so be sure to balance your accounts book regularly and pay your bills on time. Put your cheque book in an attractive cover (choose green, purple, or red.) and keep it in the wealth area of your desk - that's the far left hand corner of the desk -- or in the wealth area of your office/room.

5) Place a blue or black rug in your front entryway to symbolize a river of opportunities flowing into your home or business

6) All your finances escape through the drainage system within your home or Office so place the plug in the holes in the sinks and leave the Toilet lid down at all times (virtually impossible but try)

7) Three coins tied with red ribbon should be placed near your phone to attract opportunities and enhance the financial outcome of phone calls. If you use a computer in your business it would be beneficial to hang three coins from your computer.

8) The mythical, money frog is a wealth attractor. Place one inside your office door, facing inward. This symbolizes wealth coming your way.

9) A Jade or Money plant placed in the wealth corner of your home or office will enhance your finances, look after the plant well and watch your money grow.

10). Live generously. Money is a form of energy, and it needs to flow through your life, not just into it, while giving generously with your time, energy, compassion, and appreciation and money within your means makes space for even greater abundance

FENG SHUI for the OFFICE or your BUISNESS
There are a number of aspects to consider when selecting a site for your business. First, the immediate landscape. Taking into account that circles and horseshoes are auspicious shapes. A business or home near the base of a hill with elevated land either side and facing open land is considered most auspicious and will bring good fortune. Partway down a slope would be better than at the very base. Placed at the foot of and facing a large hill will bring many obstructions. You will face an uphill battle.

Avoid having a location exposed to the elements, such as on top of a hill, a beach front property that is exposed to wind or a great expanse of water. Avoid facing a fast flowing roads, and junctions as this is more likely to expose you to excessive levels of Sha ch'i ( poison arrows).Traffic lights, roundabouts and speed humps moderate the flow of traffic. A business situated near these features would be preferable to one facing any fast moving traffic. Ideally a business in a busy street with a slow steady stream of traffic will be most prosperous. If taking over an existing building it is advised to check the history of the previous tenants.

A history of businesses going bust or with great problems is evidence of bad luck. Never ignore these signs. Feng shui promotes the importance of keeping business and personal life separate when you have a home office. An outside separate entrance to your office is optimal. If not possible, a room near the front or back door of the house is best. When a home office is part of a larger room, be sure to partition it off with something like a screen or large plant. An area rug on the floor can also be used to mark off the office. Flat ceilings promote the flow of chi and are best within a home office; otherwise hang bamboo wind chimes from beamed or sloped ceilings to offset Sha ch'i.

Workstations can be energised with objects that symbolise the five elements to attract work luck. Do this now and wait for it to work it's magic.

North: Your cup of tea or coffee, Northeast: A crystal/glass paperweight, Northwest: Your computer terminal, East: Bamboo and Buddha, Southeast: A small leafy plant, South: A Lamp and finally in the West: Gold Ingot or 3 gold I Ching coins.

1) Sit with a solid wall behind you to ensure that you have support in your life, never sit with a window behind you. This signifies lack of support, back-stabbing. The best position for your desk is to sit where you can view as much of the room as possible. You should also have a view of both the window and the door, but never in direct line with the door. Diagonal desk and door alignment is best.

2) If you own a shop try and place the till in your wealth corner, even your petty cash tin. Order books can also be placed here with 3 I Ching coins held together with red ribbon. This will increase the money flow if you own a shop/office.

3) You should not have any cactus or sharp looking plants in your office/shop as these plants have small sharp leaves and therefore causes "Shar ch'i". Live plants and flowers bring many positive elements into the workplace. To bring their positive influences, plants and flowers must be healthy and flourishing. If a plant dies, remove it and replace it with another..

4) If your staff always fall sick or there is bad feeling amongst your staff, then use a metal wind chime made of 6 or 7 metal rods about 1ft long are the best as the sound of metal is the best Feng Shui cure. Place a hanging crystal sphere to activate ch'i or disperse negative chi.

5) A fish tank placed in the wealth area is the best for great results and success. Place it in your wealth corner, to activate chi. These also have medical benefits. Water is the most powerful symbol of money in feng shui. Its sparkling chi energy is beneficial for your health and prosperity but care must be taken to keep water fresh and clean.

6) De clutter your office and desk/workstation. This is so important, According to Feng Shui, performance and business wealth can be increased by de cluttering and establishing order on your desk/workstation. Productive chi cannot flow if all that clutter is blocking its movement.

7) Place a hanging crystal in your window, this will activate ch’i, as well as looking stunning, when the sunlight hits the crystal it produces the most amazing ray of light into the room and energises the ch'i there.

8) Three legged Wealth Toad. The Toad is used for attracting wealth and abundance. Place the toad near your front office/shop entrance, facing into your office/shop for luck and wealth, or place it in the wealth sector of your office/shop to magnify your wealth luck.

9) Fu Dogs Male & Female, they are to be placed near the doorway of your office/shop to protect you from evil influences. They are a symbol of strength, courage and prosperity.

10) Ba Gua Mirrors, If you have any negative energy directed at your front entrance, Ba Gua mirrors will disperse the negative energy. A Ba Gua mirror hung by a cash till symbolises a doubling effect, thus it signifies the doubling of turnover. Try not to hang normal mirrors so it cuts people's image in half as this will bring bad luck to your business.

Romance is for life not just for Valentines
My Top 10 Feng Shui Tips

In Feng Shui we believe that the best way to attract love is to enhance your environment by making a few little adjustments to your surroundings. Dull and dark rooms and clutter can actually drive Cupid from your door. Here, then, are some simple tips for finding your perfect mate along with my top ten tips to improve love and romance and increasing the passion in your long-term relationship/marriage.
For love to blossom in your life, you must activate the SOUTHWEST corner of your home, the universal corner of romance this is where love reigns and you should pay special attention to it. It governs love, romance and family happiness.. If you wish to improve your existing relationship, place a happy family photo or the Three Tortoises of Harmony ornament in the SOUTHWEST corner of your home. If you wish to enhance your romance, place a dragon headed tortoise with a piece of red ribbon in his mouth .In using Feng Shui for romance, the Bedroom is the most important room and needs to be romantic, with soft furnishings, colours and pictures.Create a balance between the yang chi of the masculine and the yin chi of the feminine. Never give roses with thorns, remove the thorns first. Never place plants with thorns in the southwest corner.

Feng Shui plays an important part in your relationship and romance. Follow the ten tips given below and you will be fighting them from your door..

1 Replace Images of Lone Figures with Pictures of Happy Couples — with representations of happy couples will make you more receptive to love. A pair of mandarin ducks or romantically entwined lovers placed in the bedroom symbolizes the happiness of lovers.

2 Ditch the Television from the Bedroom - Nothing kills romance like the drone of late night television. If you have trouble falling asleep, try unwinding by reading love poetry or romantic novels. Your bedroom is for sleeping in or making love only.

3 Keep the Family Out - Your bedroom represents your romantic life.Keep all images of your family out of this room along with the ironing pile and misplaced item such as toys....keep your boudoir a private retreat.

4 Think Sensual Pinks and passionate Reds - Warm colours like pink and red can enhance your love life. Soft shades like rose, salmon, and coral can attract a gentle partner who is attentive to your needs, while bold colours like scarlet, crimson, and burgundy will draw a passionate adventurer into your life. The Peonies flower plays a very important part in Chinese Feng Shui and you should have some in your bedroom. Treat yourself to sensual bedding....go ahead and splash out on sexy bedding... pillows, blankets, and sheets turn your bedroom into an inviting boudoir. Invest in a comfortable queen-sized bed if you'd like to find the love of your life it will create more intimacy. If you simply can't make the switch, make sure to sleep on patterned sheets to add some zest to your sex life.

5 Crystals - Place Rose quartz crystals in the SOUTHWEST corner. Crystal in this corner of your bedroom and house in general will energize your home for love.On a window in the SOUTHWEST corner hang a Clear faceted crystal sphere to capture the sunlight and create chi rainbows this is also a wonderful way to activating the chi energy that stimulates romance. This introduces fire into this segment, which has earth as its presiding element to bring love luck.

6 An En-suite Bathroom - These can be very negative on your love life. Hang a five rod wind chime above the toilet. Water in the southeast tends to cause arguments. Never place water features on the right side of the main door of your house as this can lead to infidelity. Keep water features and Fish Tanks out of the bedroom as they can lead to loss.

7 Ambient Romantic Lighting - Soft or pastel colour lampshades with soft lighting in the SOUTHWEST creates an atmosphere of romance which is known to "put you in the mood", harsh lighting and spotlights are definitely to be avoided.Candles in all shapes, sizes and colour are great for creating the right mood. Apart from giving your area a warm glow, it also enhances the entire look of your home, while enhancing romance. Remember to put them out so as not to cause a fire hazard in your home

8 Overhead Beams - If there are exposed beams in the SOUTHWEST corner, hang tiny wind chimes or even better bamboo flutes to soften the killing chi of the edges.

9 Mirrors - If a mirror directly reflects the bed it can attract unwanted outside third parties.Remove all mirrors from the bedroom to be on the safe side.

10 Lastly - Never sleep with the feet facing the door as this can simulate the death position. The Chinese used to lay out their dead in the room with their feet facing the door.

FENG SHUI for HEALTH and VITALITY
Feng Shui can help you to get back in balance, improve your; well- being, feel better about yourself. These days a many of us are not happy with the way our lives are going, feeling that things aren't working for us any more, fed up with the daily drudge, lacking enthusiasm and motivation, feeling down, and it's difficult to make ourselves feel better and snap out of this feeling. Now we can taking responsibility for our own health and well-being. What feng shui offers is a way of creating better health, well-being by unblocking, balancing and harmonising the energy which flows through our surroundings. With balance, optimum conditions are created for body, mind, emotions and life to heal and improve.
The energy which flows around us and through us is called universal energy, life-force energy, Ch'i. We cannot see it but we feel its effects every day. The quality of this energy is important to our well-being and we have the ability to make it work for us aswell as against us. We absorb the universal energy which surrounds us. This energy, Ch'i, flows around us and through us.

Unhealthy, negative energy if blocked or stuck, it will not flow freely, and will affect everything in its path, including us. The effects of bad energy can include tiredness, irritability, depression, stress, loss of enthusiasm and motivation, sleeping or working badly. When we are feeling like this, our self-esteem and self-confidence begins to take a bashing, small re-occurring health problems, a general feeling of disharmony in our lives, and all our relationships begin to suffer in some way.

Healthy, positive energy is free-flowing, balanced and healthy, we will reflect this in our mind, body and life. Improvements in our health, well-being, motivation, self-esteem, self-confidence will bring good things into our life - better relationships, career, prosperity, luck, direction.

The main reasons for negative Chi are:

Clutter - Energy which has become stale around piles of stuff, you've heard the saying ' a tidy campsite is a happy campsite' ok maybe not but its true.

Negative outlook - which can affect you, your environment, other people and your life situation.

Colours- Every colour has a vibration which affects us in different ways.

Badly arranged homes - Beds facing the wrong direction, corners and edges of furniture aiming at people, long empty stretches of room or hall.

Outside influences- Trees or telegraph poles in direct line with our front door, neglected gardens, energy rushing around instead of slowly meandering (main causes of this are fast roads or streams/brooks etc.)

Encouraging this Ch'i to move in a positive way can have positive effects, even with just small changes. As soon as you begin to make feng shui changes, negative energy will disappear and positive energy will flow. Carrying out feng shui on your home, room or workplace will have an uplifting effect on you. It will help to improve the way you feel, clear your body and mind, and give you energy and confidence to change your situation.

3. Plant orchids in your garden to promote strength and courage, as well as an extended career. Orchids are long-lasting flowers that bring healthy chi.
